About Reverend Gail Sutton
Reverend Gail Sutton - First Lady
Reverend Gail Sutton holds the esteemed position of First Lady at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, where Dr. Gregory A. Sutton serves as the Senior Pastor. In her role, she ardently anticipates "great things from God and attempts great things for God," striving to align herself entirely with His will. Beyond being a mere listener of His Word, she actively seeks to embody and fulfill it, with her cherished scripture being Psalm 23 – "The Lord is my Shepherd!"
Drawing inspiration from Proverbs 3:27, which urges not withholding good when capable of providing it, First Lady Gail received a divine vision twelve years ago to establish the "Women of Helping Hands" ministry. This initiative involves adopting local schools and generously gifting underprivileged children, affectionately known as "ANGELS With a Purpose." Additionally, in 2011, the ministry unveiled its inaugural quarterly magazine, Chosen, aiming to inspire and inform readers in various aspects of Christian and everyday living. In anticipation of the pandemic, she received a vision to rename the ministry to The Laura B Dorsey Ladies of Love Ministry.
Undeterred by challenges, First Lady Gail actively engages in Project Seraphims, her nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality education and support services to impoverished children and families. Collaborating with the City of Atlanta and Collier Heights Recreation Center, Project Seraphim offers meals, reading programs, summer activities, and after-school tutoring. Furthering her commitment to the community, she hosts the TestiTuesday YouTube Podcast platform for individuals to share their testimonials.
As the wife of a Pastor, First Lady Gail endeavors to embody a countenance reflecting the Lord's presence in her life. With a genuine concern for God's people, she firmly believes that God values our availability over our abilities. Her life is characterized by love, a pursuit of God's heart, and a constant state of rejoicing, prayer, and gratitude, guided by the principles outlined in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. She expresses deep gratitude for her husband, Dr. Gregory A. Sutton, her children – Theresa, Tony, Keisha, LaQuay – as well as her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
